Ellie Gair
Hello! I'm an architect and artist with a wide range of experience in practice, including residential projects, pop-up installations, creative reuse and masterplanning.
I'm originally from Suffolk, where I gained a passion for working with people's homes and bringing new life into old buildings. I moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2012 and fell in love with the North East. I believe great design is for everyone and am here to facilitate your dream building project!
I also work as an Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University teaching the next generation of young designers.
My rigourous approach was recognised in 2019 with two academic awards, the William Glover Award for producing a documentary on architectural heritage, as well as the HB Saint Award for an examination of the meaning of ‘home’ for refugees in foreign environments.
Outside of work you'll find me volunteering at West End Foodbank, exploring nature and growing far too many plants. I also have a collaborative artistic project painting landscapes with Tom Ownsworth from PLYable Design.
